Audrey June Symington, 71, of Holland, Ohio and formerly of Waldport, died in her home on Dec. 29, 2001.

She was born in Perrysburg, Ohio on June 4, 1930, the youngest of 5 children of Frank and Bessie (Emmerich) Wise. She married Edward E. Symington in Waterville, Ohio, on April 10, 1948. He preceded her in death in October of 1996.

She was a homemaker, and with her husband, was co-owner and operator of the Monroe Antenna and Sound in Monroe, Michigan for several years. She attended Roberts Chapel Free Methodist Church while living in Holland.

She volunteered with the American Red Cross and was an office holder in the R.E.A.C.T. organization. She was also vice president of the 55 Plus Club at Village Meadows in Holland. She enjoyed CB Radio and used the handle "Daisy". She also enjoyed crafts, sewing and shopping.

Survivors include her sons Daryll (Natalie) Symington of Whitehouse, Ohio, Terry (Tina) Symington of Lansing, Michigan, Stephen (Shirley) Symington of Waldport, Oregon, Darcy Symington of Saratoga Springs, New York, and Scott Symington of Waldport; daughter Karen (Larry) Hodge of Toledo, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Wise; and sisters, Fannie Hannan, Dorothy Evans Frawley and Mae Bauman Taberner.

Services were held in the Neville Funeral Home in Holland, Ohio. Burial took place in Yachats Memorial Park Cemetery, Yachats, Oregon.
