Ann Wilson was born on November 23, 1780, in Juniata River, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Mary Speddy Wilson. She married William Taylor in 1802 in Chillisquaque, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. In 1808, they moved to Beaver County with four children and all their worldly possessions. In 1815, they bought a farm near Enon, and had seven more children.

Their 11 children were: John Taylor (1802-1890), Joseph W Taylor (1804-1877), Samuel Taylor (1806-1888), William Taylor (1808-1885), Mary Taylor (1810-1832), Martha Taylor Stewart (1811-1851), Nancy Taylor (1813-1851), Anne Taylor Young (1815-1880), Thomas M Taylor (1818-1898), Sarah Eliza Taylor Sampson (1820-1897), Eleanor Taylor Ramsey (1823-1890). She died on December 19, 1863, in Lawrence, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 83 years.
