Funeral services for Myrtis Riddle Tilley will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August, 7, 2004 at First Baptist Church, Woodworth with the Rev. Tom Fewell officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Melder. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mrs. Tilley, age 98, of Woodworth entered eternal rest Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in Tyler, Texas.

She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Woodworth and the bayou Clear Mission Church where she served as secretary/treasurer. She also worked in the Vacation Bible School. She loved to sew, garden and grow beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Tilley is preceded in death by her sister, Willie McMain and her husband, William Jessie Tilley who died November 16, 1964.

She is survived by her daughter Doris McDonald and husband Alvin of Eldon, Texas; three grandchildren, David McDonald and wife Anne of Molndal, Sweden, Bradley McDonald and Patrick McDonald both of Eldon, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Adam and Liam McDonald both of Molndal, Sweden; three sisters, Birtie Carter of Forest Hill, Ruby Carter of Glenmora and Annie Cox of Natchitoches.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville and Saturday, August 7, 2004 from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Woodworth.
