Virgie E. Speight, 95, of Smith's Nursing Center in Wolfe City, TX passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010. Mrs. Speight was born on July 2, 1914 in Sulphur Bluff, TX to Jim and Lula Smith Cunningham. She married Fairl Speight on June 9, 1956 in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Fairlie, TX.
Survivors are a daughter, Rogene Swinson and husband Lewis of Fairlie; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, thirty-three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Speight was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, a son, Six brothers and two sisters.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Fairl and Virgie married June 9, 1956 in Durant, OK.
Aunt Virgie was a wonderful Christian lady. She helped to raise and loved Martha & Bobby Ray McCann. She had no biological children, but loved Fairl's children; Raymond Ray Speight, deceased & Rogene Swinson of Fairlie and grandchildren as if they were her own.
