Erabell M. Cochren, 93, of Wyoming, Ill., a resident of Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the past five years, died at 6:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Erabell was born September 1, 1917, in Elmira Township, the daughter of George and Adeline McKeever Hunter. She married Henry E. Cochren in Wyoming, Ill., on September 16, 1942. He died on August 29, 2003. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Ellen, Julia and Eva, and one grandson, Chris.
Surviving are two children, Lillian (and Alonzo) Hoffman of Toulon, Ill., and Robert (and Connie) Cochren of Durant, Iowa; six grandchildren, Shannon (and Tad) Hoffman of Geneseo, Ill., Sierrah (and Josh) Hoffman-Ewing of Peoria, Ill., Kevin (and Adrianne Draude) Cochren of Davenport, Fla., Elizabeth (and Roger Gilliland) Cochren of Des Moines, Iowa, Staci Cochren (and Rob Heick) of Durant, Iowa, and Ashley Cochren (and Ian Delevere) of Rock Island; as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Erabell was a beautician, operating Lill-Bell in Wyoming for 20 years. She and Henry also owned a beekeeping business for 40 years. Many years ago, she was a member at the Wyoming United Methodist Church and its Ruth Circle.
