Jean Schneider age 83 of Sioux Falls, died Friday February 5, 2010. The family will greet friends from 5-7:00 PM Monday, February 8th at Miller Funeral Home, 13th & Main Ave. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Jean Albertson, daughter of Albert and Louise (Heydlaff) Albertson, was born April 11, 1926 in Lamberton, MN. She grew up in the Lamberton area with ten brothers and sisters on the family farm

On February 17, 1951 she was united in marriage to Richard Schneider in Lamberton. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls in 1955. Jean was a hairdresser and manager of the Zesto Ice Cream for many years and later worked part-time at a local Dairy Queen.

Jean’s life centered around her family, friends, church and was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their presence always put a sparkle in her eyes. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing, playing bridge and having coffee with her friends.

She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Her parents, son Grant, sisters, Myrtle Fritz, Violet Schiffman, and brothers Kermit, Earl, Archie and Lowell preceded her in death.
