Orland 'Bob' Albertson, son of Albert and Louise (Heydlaff) Albertson, was born March 31, 1918, in Lamberton, MN. He grew up in the Lamberton area with ten brothers and sisters on the family farm. On November 28, 1939, he was united in marriage to Marie Buyck in Walnut Grove. The couple made their home in Walnut Grove where Bob farmed for 5 years. They then moved to the Lamberton area where Bob farmed until retirement. In 1983, Bob and Marie moved into Lamberton. Bob loved farming, fishing, spending time outside and collecting antiques. Bob was very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Bob has many family and friends who are grateful to have shared his life, especially his wife of 70 years, Marie. He is also survived by 2 sisters - Lucille Clark and Joan Christensen; brother - Orville Albertson; son-in-law - Dan Christianson; 5 grandchildren - Erv Rogotzke, Brad (Kristine) Rogotzke, Mike Rogotzke, Rod (Renee) Rogotzke, and Kim Christianson (Paul Slininger); and 6 great-grandchildren - Brandon, Dan, Kayla, Zach, Jackson, and Abbi. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; daughters - Sharon Rogotzke and Pat Christianson; son-in-law - Richard Rogotzke; sisters - Myrtle Fritz, Violet Schiffman, and Jean Schneider; and brothers - Kermit, Earl, Archie, and Lowell.
