Funeral services for Mrs. Hassie Ray Swallows, 76, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 1999, from Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial was in Harris Chapel Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Swallows, a housewife, died Wednesday, August 18, 1999, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born November 13, 1922, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Susie Elvissa McDonald Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Marshall Swallows; two sisters, Linnie Bell Danner and Etta Jane Ledbetter; a great grandson, Jonathan Dixon; and a son-in-law, Doyce Dixon.

She was a member of Harris Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bud Swallows and Kenneth Swallows, both of Livingston; three daughters, Velma Jean Bilbrey, Crossville, and Earlene Dixon and Sue Perdue, both of Livingston; a brother, J.B. Eldridge, Kentucky; two sisters, Velma Lee Ledbetter, Liv-ingston, and Myrtle Brown, Rickman; 12 grandchildren, Bruce Dixon, Wayne Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Rick Dixon, Lee Swallows, John Ringley, Matthew Swallows, Diane Willis, Donna Breeding, Cynthia Sullivan, Susie Swallows, and Lora Ringley; and 12 great grandchildren, Stacy Dixon, Crystal Dixon, Amanda Dixon, Kim Dixon, Sara Murphy, LaKrisha Willis, Callie Swallows, Brian Dixon, Andrew Dixon, Willie Dewayne Dixon, Jacob Dixon, and Dylan Gore.

Pallbearers were Bruce Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Rick Dixon, Lee Swallows, John Ringley, Matthew Swallows, Jason Sullivan, Jackie Willis, and Chris Br
