Worley Lane
GATE CITY, Va.
Worley C. Lane, 75, died 8:45 a.m. at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was a retired carpenter. A lifelong resident of Scott County, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Weber City.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Callie B. Lane; three daughtes, Mrs. A.M. Brown, Tillesville?, FL., Mrs. Grace Bruner, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Jack Johnson, Morrison City, Tenn.; two sons, Hubert (Jake) Lane, Lake Creek, Ore., and Grover Lane, Norton, Va.; stepdaughter, Mrs. Homer Fletcher, Gate City; two stepsons, C.N. Blair, Harrisburg, Penn., and D.H. Blair, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Monnie Penley, Kingsport, and Mrs. Ida Grand?, Florida; two brothers, Kelly Lane, Indian Springs, Tenn., and Ezra Lane, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Scott Couinty Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Blessing and Rev. Basil Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Holston View Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
