Paul Rodesch, 74, lifelong Remsen area resident and retired farmer, died unepectedly Thursday, October 4, 1979 at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars, Iowa. He was rushed to the hospital early Thursday.

Mr. Rodesch, the son of Charles and Margaret (Boever) Rodesch was born June 11, 1905, in Remsen. He farmed until retiring in 1969 to Remsen.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's church, Oyens Columbus club and was past member of the board of directors of Remsen Farmer's Co-op.

Paul married Rosell Roling on January 31, 1928 in Remsen, Iowa.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's church with Rev Richard Birdsall officiating. Gurial will be in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Survivors are his wife of Remsen; a son, Larry of Alton, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Gail (Marie) Buck of San Dimes, California, and Mrs. Loren (Myrna) Hawkins of Apple Valley, California; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; a brother, Theodore of Storm Lake and a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Matilda) Peterman of Burlington, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank.
