Charles Rodesch, 67, died at his home in Remsen Monday night after four days of illness.

Charles was born in the village of Gosdorf, Canton Wiltz, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on May 10, 1872. He came to this country in company with a friend, John Kneip, in 1893. The two settled at Le Mars and Mr. Rodesch spent a year working as a farm hand. He went to Remsen and for two years was employed on the farm of Simon Rothlisberger and in 1896 Charles and his brother, George, went to farming on their own resources.

Charles married Magaret Boever on February 7, 1900 in St. Mary's Church in Remsen, Iowa.

Charles is survived by his wife and children: Paul, Frank and Theodore of Remsen; (Matilda) Mrs. Lawrence Mai of Spencer, Iowa; and some grandchildren.

His brother, George, is another prominent farmer of this community and the other brother, Theodore, lives in their native home. Two sisters preceded Charles in death.

The funeral was held Thursday morning in St. Mary's church in Remsen. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery in Remsen, Iowa.
