Died At Her Home in Attica Wednesday. Death Was Caused by Cancer Of Stomach---Funeral Will Be Held Saturday, September 30th At Attica, Ohio
Mrs. August Mann, of Attica, Ohio, highly esteemed and highly respected resident of Attica, and well known in New Washington, died at her late residence very unexpectedly Wednesday following a 17 months illness. The immediate cause of her death was due to a cancer in the stomach.
The death of Mrs. Mann, came as a shock to many New Washington people. The seriousness of her illness was not realized until but a short time before her death.
Mrs. August Mann, (nee Mary Magdalena Hepp) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hepp, was born in New Riegel, November 1---1842, and died September 27---1916, aged 72 years, 10 months, and 28 days. She was married to Mr. August Mann in New Riegel in 1846 , after which they had moved to Tiffin, where Mr. Mann had been engaged in the shoe business for 15 years. They then moved to Attica where she resided until date of death. She leaves to mourn her bereaved husband and ten children as follows:
Mary Crandall, of Marine City, Michigan, Charles A. Mann, of New Washington, Ohio, Joseph Mann, of Attica, Ohio, Rt. 2, Mrs. Henry Alt of this city, Will Mann who was formerly employed at The Miller Mdse. Co. but now resides in Sandusky City, Mrs. Ge orge Welsch of Attica, and one foster son, Linus Bishop at home.
Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.
The funeral services will be held from St. Peter's and St. Paul's church at Attica, Ohio, on Saturday September 30th, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Lintz officiating. Burial will be made in the Attica Cemetery.
