W.W. Hoggan Called By Death

Wilford Woodruff Hoggan, 66, died Sunday evening, December 10, 1951 in the Salmon hospital following a lingering illness, complicated by heart trouble.

Mr. Hoggan was born July 15, 1885 in Salt Lake City, the son of George Drummond and Edith Frances Harrison Hoggan. He spent several years in Salt Lake City before the family moved to Providence, Utah. In 1905, he came to Rigby with his parents and learned the harness maker's trade in his father's shop, following this business throughout his life. He moved to Arco more than twenty-five years ago and engaged in business there for several years, later moving to Salmon where he established a business. He married Elizabeth Grover of Rigby forty years ago. Surviving are his widow, a son Wilford now with the armed services in San Francisco, and an adopted daughter, Elizabeth Hoggan of Chicago. A son, Orson Grover Hoggan, died in early childhood. Surviving are two brothers, George R. Hoggan, Lorenzo, James D. Hoggan, Burley and two sisters, Edith Ball of Pocatello and Mrs. Lester Burt, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Funeral services were held Wednesday December 12, 1951 in the Salmon LDS church at 2 o'clock. Graveside services were held Thursday, December 13, 1951 at 1 p.m. at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of the Fourth Ward Bishopric.
