Geore Ralph Hoggan was born August 3, 1878 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of George Drummond Hoggan and Edith Frances Harrison Hoggan. He was a twin to Mary Margaret Hoggan. Ralph was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and as a young man, served a mission for the church for three years and three months in the Marquissis islands of the Society group. He was married to Sarah Annie Call on December 11, 1907. They were the parents of five sons: George Call Hoggan (1909-1974) Ralph Harrison Hoggan (1912-1963) Omer Wilford Hoggan (1910-1917) Heber Ivan Hoggan (1915-1964) & Floyd Call Hoggan (1917-1968). Sarah and their son Omer died in 1917 and Ralph was left alone to raise his remaining sons. He later was married to Mable Hunter on 3 Jun 1925 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple in Logan, Cache, Utah. George and Mabel are the parents of a daughter and a son; Sarah [Hoggan] Ralph (1926-2012) and Daniel Hunter Hoggan (1929-).
