Mary Evaline Fraker was born to William C. Fraker (1818-1896) and Susanna (Hartman)Fraker (1820-1857). Mary had 5 siblings and 5 half-siblings; her mother was the 1st wife of William C. Fraker, and died when Mary was about 10 years old. William's 2nd wife was Bethia Jane (Milburn)(1831-1917), who added 5 more children to the family. Mary E. Fraker married on Aug. 6, 1866, to David Andrew Harshbarger, who was home from serving in the Tennessee Cavalry during the Civil War. They were blessed with 7 children and remained in the same area of Tennessee until their deaths; both Mary & David Harshbarger are buried in the Milburton UMC Cemetery.
They were my husband's great grandparents.
*Family has their surname as Harshbarger; many records list them as Hashbarger...
David A.'s cemetery stone says Hashbarger; Mary E's says Harshbarger.
