She departed this life on a Friday at the age of 97 years, 2 months, and 24 days. She was the oldest of 13 children born to Helen Irene (Pepperman) Ohnmeiss and Clyde G. Ohnmeiss. She married her husband Samuel "Sam" in 1931. They left Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1953 and moved to Albany, Georgia. They had 56 years together before Sam died in 1987. They had two children, Robert "Jack" Bastian, who passed away in 1980, and Helene Foltis who lives with her husband Constantine "Connie" in Bostwick, Florida. Betty joined them there in 1996. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, three sisters, Vivian Heller of Poughkeepsie, New York, Maxine Loudenslager and Ninabelle Aikey of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren, over 14 great-grandchildren, over 19 great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
