He was a son of Clyde G. Ohnmeiss and Helen Isabell (Pepperman) Ohnmeiss. He was a resident of Sycamore Manor and died there on Monday. He retired from the former Williamsport Area Community College where he had been employed there for about 7 years. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post 185. He was a member of Sons of Italy. He had been active for many years as a captain of the Civil Air Patrol in Hughesville. He was the husband of Madeline T. Taber of Canton, Bradford county, Pennsylvania. She died in 1990, which is about 1 year, 11 months, and 19 days from the date of his death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Sallstrom, of this city and Mrs. Jeannine Sweeney, of Montgomery, three brothers, Berdell, of Cogan Station, Stanley, of Muncy, and Max, of Hugesville; six sisters, Mrs. Nina Houseknecht, Mrs. Helen Bastian, and Mrs. Maxine Loudenslager, all of this city, Mrs. Betty Bastian, in Georgia, Miss Annabelle Ohnmeiss of Muncy, and Mrs. Vivian Heller, of Poughkeepsie, New York; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He made his home with Nancy Doebler, of this city.
