Michal Lewandowski was born in Stuhm, Kreis Stuhm, Westpreussen. He was baptized at the Catholic church there on 16 September 1850. He was the son of Michal Lewandowski, a laborer, and Marianna nee Bujakowski.

He married Agnes Mysliwska on 24 September 1876 at Sw. Michala, Pestlin, Kreis Stuhm, Westpreussen.

He emigrated from West Prussia in 1881, arriving at the port of Philadelphia in April 1881.

Died 28 July(1914) at 12:30 at the age of 63 years and 10 months. He was born in West Prussia. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 8 daughters, 20 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He will be buried from his home at 920 American Ave to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and then to St. Adalbert Cemetery.
