Grover T. Threatt died Wednesday, August 3, in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was 70 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from Mahaffey Funeral Home by Dr. Daniel W. Cloer and the Rev. Ralph W. Cowan. Burial with military honros was in White Plains Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Threatt a retired Army sergeant, was born in Chesterfield County, a son of the late Alexander Lee and Frances Griffith Threatt.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. J.D. Sistare of Lancaster; and four brothers, O.A. Threatt of Pageland, C.E. Threatt of Arizona, M.R.[sic] Threatt of Alabama and H.H. Threatt of Lancaster.
