Horace Andrew Aday, 96, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Owasso, OK. He was born on January 21, 1915 in Honey Grove, Texas to Henry Harvey and Tera Caldonia (Hamessley) Aday.

Horace served in the United States Navy and was a boiler maker by trade for Sun Refinery. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and a long time worshiper of the First Baptist Church of Mannford. Horace was also an ordained Southern Baptist Minister who was instrumental in establishing the Carbondale Baptist Church and Red Fork Baptist Church in west Tulsa. He excelled in being a layout carpenter helping to design and construct additions to churches. During his free time Horace enjoyed fishing, tour trips, and gardening.

Horace was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen, four brothers; and one sister.

Survived by his wife; eight brothers; and step-daughter.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at First Baptist Church Mannford. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma.
