Mable E. Weller, 79, of Riverton died Friday at her residence.

She was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Athens, the daughter of Cole Everett and Eunice Myrtle Roberts Powell. In 1934, she married Elbert L. Weller Sr.; he died in 1976. Mrs. Weller, a Riverton resident for 54 years, was employed as a housekeeper for St. John's Hospital and various hotels. She was a member of Riverton First United Methodist Church.

Survivors: two daughters, Rose Brosman of Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Bill (Ruby) Everett of Riverton; a son, Peter Weller of Riverton; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Dyer of Athens, and Genevieve Sanderfield and Harriet Donnoley, both of Springfield; three brothers, Delbert, Willis and Harvey Powell, all of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Bill Barrett officiating. Burial: Wolf Creek Cemetery, near Williamsville.
