Edwin C. Bond Dies
Lifelong Resident Passes Away at Litchfield County Hospital

Edwin C. Bond, 65 years old, well-known Winsted resident, passed away at the Litchfield County Hospital about 2:30 this morning.
Edwin Cater Bond was born in this city June 9, 1861, the son of Sylvester V. and Sarah Avery Bond, and had spent his entire life here. He was employed in the post office department for a period of approximately 30 years and until the time of his recent illness had been in the employ of the hospital.
He leaves two brothers living in Winsted, George Bond of Hillside Avenue and Fred Bond of Lake Street.
The funeral will be held at St. James. Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30.

The funeral of Edwin C. Bond, 65, a life-long resident of this place who died at the hospital Tuesday morning was held at St. James Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. R. V. K. Harris conducted the services. Mr. Bond was born in Winsted June 9, 1861, the son of Sylvester V. and Sarah Avery Bond. He had been employed at the hospital during recent years, but previous to that time had been employed in the post office department for about 30 years. He is survived by two brothers, George Bond and Fred Bond, both of Winsted.
