Harry J. Mason, 86, of Jacksonville, formerly of Murrayville, died Saturday afternoon at Passavant Hospital.

He was born Feb. 9, 1900, in Murrayville, the son of Tom and
Luella Steele Mason.

He first married May Hinman, and later married Hattie White, who survives in Jacksonville.

Also surviving are two sisters, Ida Vedder of Murrayville, and Edna Oddy of Elkhorn, Wisc.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Bernie.

He was a member of Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Youngblood Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from noon to the time of services. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home in Murrayville, with the family meeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Youngblood Cemetery.
