Edward A. Mason, 86, Route 4, C, died at 2 a.m. Friday (Feb. 25, 1966) at Kankakee.
He was born in Urbana township Jan. 27, 1880, to Thomas and Mary Cook Mason and was married to Anna Marie Good, who preceded himin death.
Mr. Mason worked for many years for hybrid seed corn plants in the area.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Delbert Jenkins, Route 2, U, and Mrs. Leon Oakley, Bellflower; three step-brothers, Russell, Harry, and Bernard, all of Murrayville; two step-sisters, Mrs. Ida Vedder, Murrayville, and Edna, Chicago; and six grandchildren. His brother Charles preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are being completed at Renner's Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana.
My research:
Marriage to Anna Marie Good, 2 Mar 1908 in Champaign County.
Edward's mother, Mary Elizabeth Cook Mason, died when Edward was about 6 months old. I believe he lived mostly with his Grandparents John and Mary Cook in the Champaign area.
