Laura M., daughter of Henry Gordon and wife, was born March 11, 1863 and departed this life February 1, 1920, aged 66 years, 10 months and 20 days.
On September 23, 1880, she was united in marriage to Jesse Barr, who preceded her in death May 23, 1924. To this union eleven children were born, seven of whom survive.
In early life she united with the Christian Church and retained her membership with the same throughout her life.
She is survived by the following children: Myran(sic) Durbin of St. Elmo, J. C. Barr of Beecher City, Edna Anderson of Mattoon, Sarah Grubaugh and Noah Barr of Deland and Harry Barr. Forty grandchildren, five great grandchildren besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Beecher City Monday afternoon by Rev. A. E. Kretzer. Interment was in the the Beecher City cemetery.
