DOUGLASVILLE, GA - Henry Marshall Gosdin, 94, of Douglasville, GA, died Saturday, 18 Nov 1995 following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Randolph County, AL, 18 Jan 1901, son of the late Henry and Martha Hester Gosdin. Mr. Gosdin was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Idell Mitchell, son Alews Gosdin, and two daughters, Betty Yates and Faye Lounette Gosdin.

Survivors include three daughters, Glema Cavender and Shirley Shartzer of Bowdon, GA and Christine Stuman of Douglasville, GA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Blake Gosdin of Roanoke, AL.

Funeral services were 3 p.m. Monday, 20 Nov 1995 at Sardis Baptist Church, with Rev W. M. Wiggins officiating. Music was by the church choir and David Parmer.

Pallbearers were Steve Caldwell, Larry Traylor, Donnie Gosdin, David Carter, Lee McKenzie and Chris Lovvorn. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Rainwater-West Funeral Home of Bowdon, GA was in charge of arrangements.
