Services Today At Columbia For Mrs. Conner
Services for Mrs. Claude E. Conner, 82, of Columbia were to be held at 3 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Beeson Cain, pastor of Columbia Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was to follow in the Columbia Cemetery.
Mrs. Conner died Wednesday morning at Floadrian Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
A native of Oxford, she moved to Columbia in 1912. She was a member of Columbia Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Conner of Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis Fortenberry, Mrs. Allen Bowman and Mrs. Ted Padgett, all of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. H. C. Duke, Sr., of Oxford; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
