Annie Lois Follett, 83, of Elgin, died April 7 at her home. A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Elgin Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dedication of the grave will follow at the Elgin Cemetery. Viewing will be from 4 to 6 today at Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center, 1502 Seventh St. in La Grande.
Annie was born June 14, 1927, to John Riley and Essie Leoloia (Hanley) Sanderson in Covington, Miss. She married Warren Kenneth Follett June 18, 1945, in Lake Providence, La.
Annie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, Southern cooking, crafting and gardening. She and Warren enjoyed traveling to the South and visiting family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Ronna Witherspoon and Jaylene Witherspoon, both of Elgin; siblings, Paul Sanderson, Bernice Mauldin, James Sanderson, Harlon Sanderson and Curtis Sanderson; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; son, Craig Follett; daughter, Wendy Follett; and brother, John Sanderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Doernbecher Hospital in care of Daniels-Knopp.
