Everett was born on September 13, 1910 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Harry Samuel and Bessie Etta (Coleman) Hart. He lived in Pawhuska, Oklahoma until his family moved to El Dorado, Kansas in the early 1920's and where he lived the rest of his life. He was the oldest of four children (Otis, Eugene [my father] and Dorothy).

In February 1931 he married Ernestine Olive Truman, and they were the parents of one son, Everett Truman Hart, Jr. Ernestine died on November 22 1956 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Everett was remarried on June 19, 1959 to Margaret Robinson Carroll in Augusta, Kansas. They had no children together.

For many years Everett owned and operated the Hart Heating and Air Conditioning Company in El Dorado. He was a member of the El Dorado Country Club.

Everett died Wednesday, September 7, 1994, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas from complications after a recent fall resulting in multiple trauma. He was buried next to his first wife at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 10. The Reverend William Bullard officiated.

His survivors included his wife, Margaret of the home; his sister, Dorothy Nickel (El Dorado); two grandchildren (Larry and Dave); and multiple nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his only son (Everett, Jr.), one grandson (Michael) and two brothers (Otis and Eugene).

Memorials were requested to the American Heart Association. Kirby-Morris Funeral Home had the arrangements.
