Death Follows Stoke Suffered Three Weeks Ago

Stricken with a paralytic stroke three weeks ago, Mrs. Ruby Loftiss Edmondston, wife of William J. Edmondston, retail grocer, died at 12:05 o'clock yesterday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was 54 and had been in the hospital 10 days.

Born in Rolls, Mo., Mrs. Edmondston came to Memphis from Willow Springs, MO., 32 years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church and lived at 1378 South Wellington. Flowers were her hobby. Mr. Edmondston operates Edmondston's Grocery at 459 Olive.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, William J. Edmondston, Jr., a brother, V.D. Loftiss, both of Memphis, three sisters, Mrs. E.A. Hornstein of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. W.A. Copeland of High Point, N.C., and Mrs. S.A. Parnell of St. Joseph, Ill.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. William G. Gehri at 11:00 o'clock this morning at the National Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park.
