Mrs. Eva Edith Shockley Worrell, 93, of 220 Bentley Drive, Pulaski died Thursday morning in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born March 6, 1892 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Esau Shockley and Mary Jane Good Shockley. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wirt Lawrence Worrell; one son, Lawrence Columbus Worrell and one daughter, Ethel Edith Worrell Sayers, both of Pulaski.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Annie) Hawkins, Mrs. Wilma Stafford, Mrs. Lula Taylor, all of Pulaski; Mrs. Maudie Walker of Radford, four sons, William H. Worrel, Roy J. Worrell, Elmer C. Worrell, all of Draper and Tiden H. Worrell, Radford; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren.

Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Martha Rorrer, Pulaski; one half sister, Mrs. Harry (Lelia) Hylton, Gibsonville, NC; one brother Burl Shockley of Dublin and one half-brother, Joseph Shockley of Pulaski.

The funeral will be Saturday, July 6 at 2 p.m. from the Dora Highway Baptist Church with the Rev. Edgar O'Dell and and Rev. Jack Martin officiating. Internment will fellow in the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dublin.
Visiting will be any time today and the family will receive friend from 7 to 9 tonight at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday to lie instate until the hour time of the service.
