She was born August 12, 1921 in Montpelier, Idaho, a daughter of Stephen and Mary Wells Sharp. She married Russell S. Hansen on July 26, 1945 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 7, 1997.
Lila was a life-long resident of Garden City before moving to Roy, Utah.
She was a graduate of Montpelier High School and Seminary. She was a member of the LDS Church and a faithful Primary teacher and visiting teacher. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Lila had a great love for tatting, quilting, crocheting and home making.
Surviving are three sons, Wendell (Linda) Hansen, Layton; Thaine (Chelane) Hansen, Roy; Earl (Dianna) Hansen, Plain City; one daughter, Donna (Don) Pugmire, Clearfield; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dick (Luann) Sharp, Mesquite, NV; Butch (Shirley) Sharp, Midvale; four sisters, Agnes Knowles, Bancroft, ID; Edna (Norman) Hendrix, Wells, NV: Amy (Bob) Crigger, Grand Junction, CO and Alberta (Henry) Galvin, Mesquite, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002 at Bear Lake Ward. Family and friends may call Thursday at the church from 11:45 until 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Garden City Cemetery.
