Dad was a WWII veteran, he then farmed the rest of his life. He was a small man & loved the land, his livestock & family. Dad was not a people person. When his wife, Mary, passed, he moved to Rushville & that was the beginning of the end. He died at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, but he was in the Veteran's Home for approximately 4 years. He hated every day of it.
He was loved.
