Sarah died in her home on Arnold's Creek outside of Central Station, Doddridge County. She died of "what might have been apoplexy" at about 71 years of age.

She was the daughter of Aaron Shinn and Mary Pigott Shinn and the wife of Lewis Harvey Pigott whom she married in Tyler County on 21 May 1843.

One of her children was George W. Pigott whose first wife, Sarah J. Shinn Pigott, is also buried in this cemetery.

Although I have been unable to find any death information for Lewis Harvey Pigott, I would suspect he is also buried in this cemetery. The last record of him I could find was the 1880 US Census of Doddridge County.

Note: Sarah's mother, Mary Pigott Shinn, married Robert Childers in Doddridge County on 9 Mar 1847, and at the time of the 1850 US Census Sarah's brothers, Josiah, David, and William were living with their mother and Robert in Doddridge County. In 1850 Robert was 70 and Mary was 54.

Robert died 6 Sep 1850, and I can find no further record of Mary.
