Obie Horston was born to Albert Pinkney and Nepthalia N. Crain Hess on 5-11-1895, in Milam County, Texas. Obie's siblings are: Aaron, Albert, Dolly, Jennie, Charles, Furdy, Joe and Edward.
On April 8, 1916, Obie married Annie Ellis Hundle in Milam County, Texas. Together they had six children and they are: Alie Obie, Boynton, Anton C., Louise Ann, Horston Victor and Vince Albert. Together they faced joy and sorrow. Their sorrow was known through the deaths of 3 of their little ones. Boynton was the first they had to bury together, he lived two days. Next they had to bury Anton, who lived one year. Afterwards they had to bury their sweet eight year old son who died in a train accident, Vince Albert. Much sorrow and much happiness was shared between these two parents.
On July 24, 1968, Obie Horston Hess passed away three years before his lovely bride, Annie.
