FAIRMOUNT — Ochal R. LeMaster, 74, died peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2011, in his residence. Ochal was the son of the late Ochal R. LeMaster and the late Ruth Gertrude (Lyons) Goff. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 22, 1937. He served in the Army National Guard.

Mr. LeMaster was employed by Thompson Consumer Electronics as an electrician for 43 years, retiring in 1999. He was a self taught, award winning artist, creating beautiful works of art, mostly of rural Indiana landscapes. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and the Grant County Art Association. He loved to shoot pool, go to the Casino, and play bingo. He loved watching Big Ten Basketball, especially IU and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret (Feltner) LeMaster; two daughters, Sharon (Fred) Mauller, Gas City, Cathy (Kevin) Murgaw, Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Brent (Kristie) Mauller, Gas City, Ryan (Amanda) Mauller, Marion, Lacey Murgaw, Gas City, Lisa Murgaw, Jonesboro; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anita Lanning, Marion, Margaret Ann (Palmer) Caudill, Meir, Kay (Chuck) Witt, Marion, Sharon Riddle, Marion; two brothers, Pete LeMaster, Fayetteville, N.C., Bobby (Marsha) LeMaster, Marion.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis; two brothers, Stanley and Dolan.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2011
