Robert W. Windom, 79, of 1560 Williams St. died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg.
Born July 3, 1923, in Galesburg to Fred and Ada Stigner Windom, he married Data Mae Shaw on April 25, 1947, in Galesburg. She died Feb. 14, 1998.
He also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey of Galesburg and Vincent of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Fonda (and James) Knuth of Galesburg; two brothers, Bernard of Galesburg and Roy of Huntingdon, Tenn.; and one sister, Evelyn Carlson of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was a press operator for Maytag Corp. in Galesburg for 28 years, retiring in 1987.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
