Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman LaDon Loftin. He is survived by four children, Brenda and Lloyd Nichols of Valley Springs, Bennie Loftin of Harrison, Bobby and Virginia Loftin of Alpena and Terry Kay Reavis of Bergman; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 3 Brothers, Carl, Herbert and Jerry Loftin; 9 Sisters, Lenora Matthews, Nellie Thames, Zelta Lozano, Priscilla Halsted, Janice Campbell, Lylian Wright, Sharon Sanders, Donna Sullins and Mary Gerg; numerous nephews, nieces, friends and cousins will mourn his passing.
Clyde worked as a truck driver for many years. He began his trucking career in Harrison driving a tow truck, for Coca-Cola, concrete mixer. Then, before he retired, he drove a decicated run from Little Rock to Oklahoma City.
Clyde was an avid hunter; he loved his Running Walker dogs and trained them to fox hunt. He has won several trophies and awards; and was a member of the Fox Hound Association of America. Before his health got real bad; he spent his spare time running and training dogs. At the time of his death he had approximately 30 Running Walkers he was training; even though he really didn't feel up to the challenge. This was his way of keeping his mind occupied and off his health issues.
Clyde was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
