The son of James and Dottie (Blair) Loftin was born July 14, 1949 in Witts Springs, Arkansas.
Jerry was of the Christian faith; a truck driver and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ladon and Clyde Loftin; and four sisters; Nellie Thames, Priscilla Halsted, Lylian Wright and Donna Sullins.
He is survived by his son, Alvin Loftin and wife Brandy of Harrison; two brothers, Carl Loftin and wife Delena of Harrison and Herbert Loftin and wife Lois of Idaho; five sisters, Lenora Matthews and husband Carlyle of Pinetop, AZ, Zelta Lozano of Mesa, AZ, Janice Campbell-Clark and husband Bob of Jasper, AR, Sharon Sanders and husband Gene of Russellville, AR and Mary Gerg and husband James of Marshall, AR. Five grandchildren; Tabitha, Autumn, Halle, Josh and Amber Loftin; and four step-grandchildren; Cherish Stone, Kaitlyn and Faye McCourt and Lexus McKinney; and many nieces and nephews whom Jerry loved dearly.
Jerry always had a smile on his face; even though he may be having a bad day. He never met a stranger; and if he didn't know someone, he would know them on a first name basis before leaving. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back.
A Memorial service will be held, for Jerry at 11 A.M. January 18, 2013 at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison; Jerry's remains will be interred at Witts Springs Cemetery.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
