Forrestt Bingaman, son of Proctor and Isabel Bingaman, was born April 11, 1891, and died at his home in Williamson June 7, 1950, at the age of 59 years, one month, and 27 days.

He was born at Columbia and spent most of his life in Lucas county, except for seven months in the armed forces of World War I.

On November 11, 1917, he was united in marriage to Elta Sample and to this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters, Kenneth and Max of Chariton, Mrs. Theda Enslow of Chassell, Mich., Mrs. Margaret Barker and Mrs. Frances Baughman of Chariton. He also leaves 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one brother and two sisters. Three brothers and four sisters remain, Ben of Des Moines, Charles of Illin, Ill., Hozen of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Elizabeth Harbey of Bettendorf, Mrs. Naomi Sersig of Rock Island, Ill., Marie Hover of Davenport, and Mrs. Rhoda Morris of Des Moines. Also one aged uncle, Lewis Bingaman of Columbia and one aunt, Mrs. Myrtle Carson of Chariton.

Others left to mourn their loss are a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the city council and fire department for a number of years.

He bore his suffering patiently, never complaining, and always had a cheerful word for those who came to his bedside. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at Miley Funeral home on Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m. and burial was in the Chariton cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Brightwell, of Culp Creek, Ore., life long friend of the deceased.
