AURELIA-- Hazel Stutz, 80, of Aurelia, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wharton Funeral Home in Aurelia. The Rev. Ronald Kitterman of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. There will be visitation at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today.
Hazel Buma was born Oct. 7, 1908, at Whitinsville, Mass. She had lived in Aurelia since childhood. She graduated from Aurelia High School. On Dec. 21, 1932, she was married to Albert E. Stutz at Aurelia. He died Sept. 9, 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Jane) Peterson of Mahtowa, Minn.; a son, William A. Stutz, Flagstaff, Ariz.; one brother, Charles Buma, McAllen, Texas; one sister, Grace Hart, Early; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
