Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Sally Reames DuRant.
Miss DuRant was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Winthrop College. She was a retired school teacher having taught in Johnsonville.
Surviviors include three sister, Lurlene D. Pate of Columbia, Baylis D. Buddin of Sumter and Janie D. Alvarez of Mexico City, Mexico.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sterne Bolte officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery.
