Mrs. Rulien, the former Mary Scheel, was born in Menomonie and lived nearly her entire lifetime in Eau Claire. She was the widow of Lawrence Rulien who died in 1962.
Surviving are two sons, Warren and Ronald, both of Eau Claire; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Olson, Amhurst Junction, Mrs. Elsie Toskey, Mrs. Ann Flaherty, and Mrs. Hattie Fraley, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where funeral rites will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Roy B. Schmeichel. Burial will be in LakeView Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Chapel this afternoon and evening and Saturday morning, and at the church one hour prior to the time of the service.
