BLOOD POISONING FATAL-IDAHO STREET MAN SUSTAINED BURN ON FINGER THAT CAUSED HIS END - FUNERAL IS TUESDAY; Ferdinand Blechl, 314 Idaho Street died last night at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's Hospital, after an operation to prevent the further spread of blood poison had proven unsuccessful. He was 62 years of age and up to the time of the accident causing his death had been employed by Diamond Match Company. A short time ago while working at the factory, he burned the tip of his finger. He did not notice any ill effects until Saturday of last week. Friday he was taken to the hospital to undergo an operation. He is survived by his wife, six sons, Frank, Joseph, John, Louis, Edward and Robert, all of this city, except John who is serving in the United States Navy and stationed in Philadelphia, and two daughters Mrs James Getchius and Mrs Michael Blair, both of Manitowac. The deceased was born in Bohemia and came to America in 1890 and had resided here since that time. The funeral will be from Sacred Heart Church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock.

The funeral of Ferdinand Blechl was held at 9 o'clock this morning from Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. M.J. Schmitz officiating. Two members of St. Vincent's Society, two from Sacred Heart Society, two from St. Joseph's Society acted as pallbearers and members of the society escorted the remains from the home to the church. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Among those who attended the services were Louis Blechl of Duluth, and Mrs. John Bauer of Waupaca.
