ROBERT P. BLECHL--Robert P. Blechl, 59, a native of Oshkosh, died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. while fighting a brush fire at Pearl Lake, where he was a caretaker of the Hill Campground. He was born in Oshkosh on July 18, 1909 and was married to Mildred Conklin on November 1, 1928. They moved to Milwaukee in 1939 and to Pearl Lake in 1966. Surviving are his widow, Mildred; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Van De Luyster, Milwaukee; one son Roger Blechl, Milwaukee, two brothers, Frank Blechl, Oshkosh and Edward Blechl, in Europe; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Getchius, Oshkosh; and six grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Fiss and Bills Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edmund Parker of Red Granite Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday until the hour of services.
