The El-Ko Cigar Factory
R. Hoggett Proprietor
Thirteen years ago Richard Hoggett established a Cigar Factory, which is known as the El-Ko Cigar Factory of Estherville, Iowa. Mr. Hoggett has been thoroughly trained in the Cigar and tobacco business prior to his entry into the manufacturing business and his plant immediately began to take on prosperous aspects. His business has steadily grown until his output for a twelve month has almost reached one million cigars.

The total of cigars sold during the past twelve months is 697,050, well towards the million mark. Right now Mr. Hoggett is employing twelve people in his factory. At certain times of the year the employees range as high as thirty and forty people. He has three salesmen on the road all the time selling his wares. You will find his cigars being sold over the counters in the towns within a radius of 100 miles, due to the efficiency of his salesforce and the merits of the cigars.

Mr. Hoggett makes a cigar for every smoker. He has about sixteen different brands, among them is the Great "Kiowa" Cigar. Some of the different brands are the Clubhouse, Casamer, Black Diamonds, Garcia Ray, Garcia Princess, Chic, Northwestern,Handmade, Little Havana and the Guarantee. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, October 24, 1923)
