Mr. and Mrs. Marion Butler of Cherokee are here for the funeral of Mrs. Richard Hogett. [Hoggett] (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 31, 1938)

Mrs. Richard Hogett [Hoggett]
Mrs. Richard Hogett, 62, for 28 years a resident of this city, passed away at her home Monday [March 30, 1931] morning after an illness of over a year's duration.

Mrs. Hogett was a quiet, unassuming woman who did not make many friends but those she did, were close to her. She was a close companion of her husband and they were always in each other's company.

She was a member of the Union Baptist church and very faithful to the church and its organizations. She was born in Elmwood, Ill.

She is survived by her husband. The funeral services were held today at the Union Baptist church at -:30 Rev. J. Albert Riggs officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. The pall bearers were Vance Noe, L.C. Doolittle, U. Uptagraph, Chas. Nourse, Corry Hand, and J.M. Hale. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 31, 1931)
