Son of James & Sarah Elizabeth (Webster) Hoggett, husband of Minnie K. Smith, brother of Lytle, Richard, Emma, Mary, Charlie, and Frank.

OBITUARY
June 4, 1917
The funeral of Cornelius (Neil) Hoggett, who was found dead in his lodging rooom 208 Bridge street, Peoria, last Friday night, was held at the Fisher Funeral Home here at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. The coroner's jury pronounced death to be due to the effects of apoplexy.
Neal Hoggett was born in Canton about 47 years ago, and was the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Hoggett, both of whom are dead. Hel ived here the most of his life, moving to Peoria about three years ago.
Besides the wife and son of Peoria, who survive him, there is one brother, Richard of Esterville, Ia., who is now here, and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hitchcock and Mrs. Charles N. Barnett, both in Canton.
