Joseph G. Dues Sr., 61, of 404 George St., died Thursday afternoon at Winebrenner Extended Care Facility.

He was born May 25, 1923, in Coldwater to Joseph J. and Mary (Kaup) Dues, and his father survives in Coldwater. He married Coleen Weist James on Nov. 30, 1974, and she died Jan. 8.

Also surviving are two sons, Joseph G. Jr. of Dayton; Ronald P. of Jupiter, Fla.; a daughter Diane J. Warft, Jupiter, Fla.; a stepson, Robert D. Weist, Findlay; a stpedaughter, Mrs. John (Susan L.) Myer, Lespsic; eight grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; five brothers, Wilfred and Stanley, both of Celina; Harold of Dayton; Lowell of Coldwater; Gregor of Saginaw, Mich; and seven sisters; Mrs. Gregor (Genevieve) Schmitz, St. Henry; Mrs. Vernon (Wilma) Naber, Minster; Sister Maria Dues, Columbus Grove; Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Homan, Mrs. Bill (Jeanette) Billerman, Mrs. Willie (Marilyn) Froelich and Mrs. Don (Mary Ann) Post all of Coldwater.

Mr. Dues was a salesman for Sequoia Supply, Dayton. He was a World War II Marine veterna, and a member of Milton Athletic Club, Dayton; Moose Lodge 698 and St. Michael's Catholic Church, both in Findlay.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the downtown church, the Rev. John Missler officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home, where a Scripture service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
