Maurice James Herridge was the fifth child of eight born to James Walter Herridge and Eva Lydia Houston Herridge in Bluff City, Kansas.

Morris had six sisters and one brother ~ Jennie Louise, Bessie Evalene (Wilmarth), Ruth Helen (Snyder), Dorothy Edith (Dorothy was born April 14, 1924 and died September 30, 1926), Jaunita Clara (Hudson), Almeta May (Huntley-Fortmeyer), baby Cecil died at birth with his Mother Eva, they are buried together.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Walter Herridge and Eva Lydia Houston Herridge, six sibling's, and his first wife Bonnie Rule Herridge (Maurice and Bonnie were blessed with one precious daughter Jeannie).

Morris was honorably discharged from the United States Army in July 1946. He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife Mary, daughters Jeannie Herridge (Wage) and Debbie Dunn both of Belle Plaine. Sherri Beltz (Kelly) of Wichita, Kansas. Sister ~ Almeta (Huntley-Fortmeyer) of Medford, Oklahoma. Grandchildren ~ Lindsye, Meagan and Hunter, and his precious and spoiled
4-legged daughter, Duchess.
